Within Darling Buds Nursery we aim to provide a happy and secure environment for the children in our care. It is very important that we provide a safe and caring environment whilst your child or children are in our care. We operate a very strict policy to ensure that once your child is in our care, access to the nursery premises is restricted to staff, members of the local authority and authorised visitors.

Our Staff

Early year’s education is the foundation for learning values and attitudes on which children build the rest of their lives. Our experienced staff aim to give all children equal attention that is needed in the essential early years. Maintaining the correct staff and child ratio ensures we do this.

Parents may relax in the knowledge that their child is safe and well cared for at the nursery. We will do our utmost to ensure that your child is happy and content and will look forward to coming to us. You may visit your child or children at any time; you may also stay a while to ensure that your child is settled.

Progress Monitoring

At Darling Buds Nursery we aim to ensure that all children are encouraged to develop their full potential. All children who attend are carefully monitored so we can plan for progression. The children’s personal & educational development is recorded in each child’s personal records.

Baby Diaries

Baby diaries are given to all children aged 8 weeks to 18 months old. This enables us to keep in touch with you, especially if you are in a rush or running late. Each child’s key worker will write in the diary each time your child attends the nursery. It will contain information with reference to:

Your child’s day
Food & drink given
How long slept for
Nappies had during the day
